The Perfect Gift

December 5, 2017

As children, the anticipation and wonder of the Holidays were boundless. For infants and toddlers, it’s the parents and family that are excited about opening gifts.  We are taught that festively wrapped packages are exciting and joyous to open. As youngsters, we are as excited just to open the package, so every opening is highly anticipated and exciting.

As adults we have developed distinct tastes, hobbies, interest and gifting expectations. Some of us are planners but most of us are procrastinators. We panic during the holiday searching for that last minute gift. How do we find that perfect gift? Think about that special person and ask some of the following questions.

  • ‍What hobbies do they have?
  • Do they have a favorite sport or teams they cheer for?
  • Do they have special foods or restaurants they prefer?
  • Are they an animal lover or have a pet?
  • What do they do in their free time or have a passion for?
  • What’s their fashion style or décor of where they live?
  • Where did they graduate from college?
  • Have they ever mentioned their a favorite place where they lived or vacationed?
  • Preferred services that they use all the time, hair cuter, nail saloon, spa, personal trainer, dog groomer, etc.…

Now that you have some great ideas for that perfect gift; think of gifting as an event! Pull out the stops, why not take it one step further and make gifting festive and fun. Think of the sheer joy of unwrapping gifts and remember thoughtfulness counts. Consider a gift tower (3 wrapped boxes of different sizes) that gift creates anticipation. Design a creative scavenger hunt to find that special gift. Make gifting as special as the person you’re gifting for.
